April: Rene Russo

Rene Russo is an American actress and model who has been struggling with scoliosis since middle school. She was born on February 17, 1954, making her 68 years old. She was born in Burbank California to Shirley and Nino Russo.

In junior high, Russo began wearing a full-torso brace, and she would continue wearing it for four years. Wearing the brace prevented Russo from needing surgery, and now she treats her scoliosis condition acupuncture and and chiropractic care, according to ProMed Spine.

Despite having scoliosis, she has become very successful. She began her modeling career in the 1970s, appearing on magazines such as Vogue and Cosmopolitan. In 1989 she made her acting debut in David S. Ward's Major League, and she rose to fame in the 1990s by acting in more action films such as Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), Outbreak (1995), Ransom (1996), and Lethal Weapon 4 (1998). Then, in 2011, after taking a five year break from acting, Russo returned to play Frigga, in Marvel's Thor as well as in the following movies of Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). In 2014, she starred in Nightcrawler, for which she won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. Russo continues to act today.
